Supporting Bright Futures: East Street Insurance partners with Crayons to Classrooms

At East Street Insurance, we believe that every child deserves the tools to succeed, and every teacher deserves support in the classroom. That’s why we were proud to be a tote bag sponsor for Crayons to Classrooms’ event on Dec. 2, 2025.

Spreading joy and literacy

On Giving Tuesday, our team joined Crayons to Classrooms at their Dayton, Ohio headquarters for a heartwarming day focused on making a difference. Over the course of the event, 159 teachers from across the Miami Valley came through the doors, each receiving tote bags filled with supplies. We were proud to assist Crayons to Classrooms in giving away over 9,500 books, helping to foster a lifelong love of reading for thousands of local students.

As sponsors, our team had the opportunity to stock tables with books, connect with educators and see firsthand the impact this organization makes every day.

About Crayons to Classrooms

Crayons to Classrooms is an Ohio nonprofit dedicated to ensuring teachers and students have everything they need for success. By providing free school supplies to educators who serve at-risk students, Crayons to Classrooms helps remove barriers to learning and build brighter futures. Last year alone, they served over 55,000 students across 143 schools, distributing more than $2.8 million worth of essential classroom supplies.

Teachers can shop at no cost, choosing from books, backpacks, art supplies and more—all thanks to the generosity of donors, sponsors and community volunteers.

A new way to give back starting in 2026
